Today’s busy lives make juggling childcare difficult for working parents, and this comes at a cost to the economy. Figures cited by gov.uk suggest that over half (54%) of non-working mothers of pre-school children said they would prefer to work if they had suitable, reliable, and affordable childcare, with Labour Market Activity reports in 2023 suggesting this results in £30bn of lost productivity each year.
